Due to the increase in debt amongst international students, many resort to living in makeshift studio type housing facilities as a means of cutting rental costs to increase savings. The lack of affordable housing within Australia brings significant pressure amongst international students who struggle with paying tens of thousands of upfront university fees and are limited to 20 hours of work a week.

These makeshift studio type housing facilities and cramped conditions limit space, productivity and learning advantages. In response to this issue, this multiuse table which converts from a coffee table to desk was designed. With 3 large storage compartments and adaptable hinges, this table maximises space, increases productivity and decreases anxiety to create a relaxed, organised environment.
