Interior Architect and Designer

As a graduate of Interior Architecture, Joybelle is driven by a commitment to inclusivity, envisioning interiors where culture and diversity are celebrated. 

Born in Australia to first generation Indian parents, Joybelle's cultural heritage and queer identity are integral to her perspective as a designer. She strives to craft spaces that resonate with people from all walks of life, blending aesthetics with meaning to foster connection and belonging. 

Her work challenges the exclusivity often found in design, embracing a future where our differences are honoured within the built environment.

Honours Class 1
University of New South Wales 

Joybelle completed a Bachelors of Interior Architecture (Honours) from the University of New South Wales, with First Class Honours and a minor in Industrial Design in 2026. The degree focused on spatial design, material exploration, and critical design research, integrating architecture, object design, and emerging technologies.

2024

Luminosity Exhibition + Built Environment Exhibition

Joybelle was selected to exhibit her honours work in the Luminosity Exhibition at the University of New South Wales and presented her honours project at the Built Environment Exhibition at the White Bay Power Station in 2024. The exhibitions showcase student projects from across the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture, highlighting innovative design thinking and research.

Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture Dean's List Award
University of New South Wales 

The Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture Dean’s List Award at the University of New South Wales recognises students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance within the faculty. The award acknowledges academic excellence and places recipients among the top-performing students in their program for the year. Joybelle was awarded this prestigious award in 2024.
