MEDIATED URBAN INTERIORS – JAPAN EXCHANGE

I had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and into the bustling streets of Tokyo, Japan, as part of a travelling architecture studio.

We dove deep into the heart of Shibuya, focusing on the urban interiors of Miyashita Park, a vibrant hub where retail, culture, and community collide. By combining ethnographic research with design thinking, we unpacked how spaces shape and are shaped by the people and stories around them—both online and offline. We drew upon the intersections of architecture, social media and culture in both the digital and physical realm.
